The Samsung Series 7 laptop have been in the market for quite a bit now, and while we haven’t got anything special or catchy about the systems, we now have heard that a 3D edition of the Samsung Series 7 is available. The offering of the 3D version surely is a superb prospect for the gaming fanatics who appreciate the entire idea of a huge screen having better sound effects and 3D effect from superiority speakers. Although, this laptop is not only for gamers and the specifications of the system makes it clear for the Series 7.

According to Samsung’s GM of Computing for the Ireland and UK, Damian Cusick; “The new Samsung Series 7 GAMER, the company has tried to offer a notebook, which can easily compete with a desktop PC, and that sets the benchmark for the gaming notebooks in the market. thumbnail
Before we start our review, let us make one thing pretty clear, that the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook surely isn’t all about the hardware. The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook in simple terms could be seen as a carrier of Google’s cloud-computing dream of the future. The cloud-computing dream of Google that we are talking about is a world where the computer users won’t be dependent on the needless accoutrements such as burdensome optical drives, high-volume local storage or operating systems.

Samsung Series 9 Laptop

thumbnail
Samsung Series 9 Laptop is a direct assault on ultraportable MacBook Air from Apple and its sleek metal chassis will definitely appeal to those looking for attractively designed laptops. When closed, it is just 16.3mm thin with not garish stickers or ports causing unnecessary clutter. You will find the ports underneath the pull down panels. The right panel provides a microSD memory card slot, combo mic/headphone jack and USB port, while the left panel gives you access to mini HDMI port, USB port and networking port. The Series 9 is quite thin and its high resolution 13-inch screen boasts 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. The touchpad is quite large and looks better as compared to right click and separate individual buttons.

The Samsung Series 9 laptop is powered by a i5 Intel Core 1.4GHz  [...]

Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi – No 3G

thumbnail
Samsung was one of the first makers of Android based premium tablet – the Galaxy tab. It has a very convenient and beautiful seven inch display, Android 2.2 OS, 3G support and Adobe Flash. Galaxy Tab was made to kill the Apple iPad and also cash in on the rising number of Android fans. However, the first generation Tab wasn’t a big success. One big reason for this was that Samsung couldn’t get Apple like traction with the tablet consumers because there wasn’t a Wi-Fi only version to compete with Wi-Fi only iPad. For taking care of this problem, Samsung is out with 16 GB Tab version without 3G support and the price too is really attractive at $349. Samsung should have offered this model along with this price in the beginning itself because now, consumers have turned their attention to the Honeycomb or Android 3.0 OS. That said, I still think that Samsung Galaxy Tab  [...]

Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A (13-inch) – Windows version of MacBook Air

thumbnail
Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A is a direct competitor to the Apple MacBook Air. The two laptops lock horns in terms of price, performance, design and purpose. NP900X3A has everything that you loved about the MacBook Air and this 13 inch laptops has exception design with a geek appeal to it. The price of this product is $1,649 and I doubt if you can really afford it. The weight is about 2.9 pounds with a 1.4 GHz second generation Intel Core i5 processor. Apart from that, the notebook has four gigs of RAM, and 128 GB SSD. The performance is really good and it feels great to work on. It isn’t too slow either but the price is a bit high. Air starts at $1,299 for the 13 inch version with half the amount of RAM and 128 GB SSD. The $1,649 model that I got in my labs for review is the low end version. There is a step up $1,699 model which comes along with Windows 7 Professional and it is the best configuration I have ever seen. I have seen a lot of laptops which are high end  [...]

Notebook computers Review of Samsung NF310 A01

thumbnail
Samsung has been putting some bold designs in its latest notebook computers and the NF310 A01 is no exception to this. The gray silver, sleek exterior is all plastic and it can attract smudges very easily. The laptop does look aesthetically appealing thanks to the curved and raised design. The wave design on the side looks interesting; with the high curveed risers on the keyboard’s either side which act as the protective lips against any outside dust. The design of this product is certainly improved as compared to the previous Samsung N150-11 but I still feel that the new curvy looks are just a small design upgrade. Samsung NF310 A01 comes with a 6 cell battery which protrudes at the bottom but this along with the various rubber feet on the bottom serve as an elevation for comfortable typing. This notebook computers isn’t compact or thin for a ten inch model; it is about 1.2 inches thicker than full fledged laptops and the width is close to 11.6  [...]

Samsung Q330 – Great balance of speed and battery life

thumbnail
You have to be really careful while making notebooks; they need to have the correct balance of power and battery life. Faster computers have small battery life where as the ones with plenty of battery juice is relatively slower. One such laptop which balances the speed and battery life really well is the Samsung Q330. Cost of this laptop is £600 and if you think there are big compromises done in order to keep the price low, you are wrong. The body is made of plastic and the brushed metallic finish gives it a high end look. This laptop weighs just two kilograms so you won’t have any problems carrying it around. The rear part of the Q330 is thicker than the front end and this is done to give good ergonomics while typing for long hours. Samsung Q330 has great build quality and this gives you a secure feeling when you carry it. I tried to test the screen and was glad to see that there are no ripples on the screen unless I pressed on it really hard. There are no cheap  [...]

Samsung NB30 review – Matte screen display

thumbnail
When it comes to Netbooks, there is a fixed configuration that manufacturers adhere to simply because stepping out of this line can increase the weight of the device. This will in turn ruin the whole concept of a Netbook. So these days, manufacturers are trying to bring some variety to this line up by offering a couple of extras. In this case, it is the durability. Samsung NB30 is made for the rugged user. If you have butter fingers and drop things a lot, then get this computer. Samsung says the lid has a scratch resistant design and is quite rugged. The hard drive inside can take shocks and the keyboard can resist liquids on to it. The cost of this computer is $379 which is more than your standard Netbook and Samsung wants you to pay more for the durability. When we say ‘rugged’ we don’t mean it in literal sense, you cannot throw this Netbook far from a height and still expect it to come out all shinning. However, I can take accidental drops from your hands. If you are willing  [...]

Samsung R580 – Excellent value for money

thumbnail
Every year we take a look at various laptop retail configurations in order to find out which are the ones that we have not talked about yet. We also look for laptops which give great combination of performance and value for money. Now, Samsung laptops are rare here in the US but in many parts of the globe they make in to the list of big wigs. Samsung R580 is a retail configuration that we got from the manufacturer for review and it has amazing value for the cost.

The cost of Samsung R580 is $829 and you get 500 gigs of hard disk, 4 gigs of RAM, a core i5 chip which is the latest one from Intel’s stables. For graphics, there is Nvidia’s 310m processor which can handle casual as well as mainstream gaming. The laptop also comes with a Blu ray drive. This notebook thus covers all the basics and as compared to competiton, it is atleast $150 cheaper. Maybe Samsung is trying to make a big name in the notebook market by offering laptops for cheap. We were  [...]
