Asus Modifies Their Eee PC 1215B
Now, as for now we haven’t got any confirmation on this entire issue, but we’ve been hearing that Asus, the Taiwan based computer manufacturer will be updating their prominent Asus Eee PC 1215B notebook. The modification for the Asus Eee PC 1215B will come in the form of a 1.65 GHz AMD E-450 processor. This powerful modification in the system will make this 12 inch Asus Eee PC 1215B a lot faster and capable of delivering a lot better and enhanced graphics.
It should be known that at present the Asus Eee PC 1215B comes only with a choice of either the low power AMD C-30 or C-50 processors or the a 1.6 GHz AMD E-350 processor. So its pretty clear that the inclusion of a dual core processor in addition to the Radeon high definition 6320 graphic card means a lot more powerful and a quicker laptop, which is capable of complete HD playback and will also offer support for DirectX 11 graphics and 1080p HD video.
Except for the aforementioned modifications the rest of the laptop remains pretty much the same as the previous Eee PC 1215B, and comes with a 12.1 in LED Back light WXGA Screen that has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 of pixels and an in-built camera of 0.3 MP.
You will get memory options of two GB, three GB and four GB of DDR3 memory, 2 x SO-DIMM while the system will either be having a 2.5 inch 250 GB SATA hard disc drive, 320 GB SATA hard disc drive or 500 GB SATA hard disc drive. As far as networking is concerned, the Asus has fitted their system with the normal WLAN 802.11 b/g/n at 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and there is an option of a Bluetooth V3.0 +HS.
The power for the Asus Eee PC 1215B system comes from a 6 Cell 56Wh Li-ion Battery, which is said to be sufficient for around 8 hours of battery life to the system, says Asus. The Asus Eee PC 1215B measures 296 mm x 38 mm x 203 mm (W x H x D) and weighs 1.45 Kgs with its installed 6 cell battery.
Now, as we mentioned earlier, that there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the upgrade, we don’t know any details regarding the pricing of the system, and hence cannot say anything on the pricing of the system.
